On 11-07-09 I met Meigs County at Rainbow Lake Road and transported a Jason Drumm to Regional Jail on an Athens County Warrant. Case closed

Arrested Theron Young after he turned himself in at the ACSO. Mr. Young had warrants held in Athens County on him including: burglary, receiving stolen property, grand fheft, non-support of dependants, robbery, driving under suspension, and fictitious registration.

On 11-6-2009, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting event which occurred in Nelsonville, Ohio at approximately 1800 hours. Timothy E. Carr, age 53, of Jacksonville, Ohio received what is believed through our investigation to be a self inflicted single gunshot wound to the head. Timothy Carr was transported via Life Flight to Grant Hospital and it was reported that he died at approximately 2200 hours due to these injuries.

Complainant reported that several mailboxes were damaged on Bethany Ridge Road sometime through the night of October 31., 2009. It appears they were hit by a vehicle.

Ronald Hollon stated he thought someone may have been in his residence. After checking the residence, and discussing the issue further with him, it was learned he had stopped taking the medication the doctor prescribed to him. He advised he would be making an appointment to see his doctor.

SEOEMS requested ACSO to respond to a residence on Connett Rd. in The Plains due to a male subject being incoherent and combative. After arriving, a Robert Haning was transported to O’Bleness for further evaluation and medical attention.

On October 21, 2009, The Athens County Sheriff’s Office in concert with The Ohio State Highway Patrol, The Ohio Department of Public Safety, Columbus Police Department, The Hocking County Sheriff’s Office and local agencies conducted a Drug Sweep Operation call Operation Busted Balloon which targeted the flow of heroin coming into the Athens and Hocking County areas.
The Athens County Sheriff’s Office narcotics unit arrested the following people for trafficking in heroin and other illegal drugs.

Dustin Stickels – 45 East 4th Street Apt. 59, The Plains, Ohio DOB 12-15-80 Warrant for unlawful sex with a minor.
Raliegh Robinson – 7 Monroe Street, Chauncey, Ohio DOB 06-10-76 Probation violation.
Carol Christman – 45 East 4th Street, The Plains, Ohio DOB 10-04-82 Warrant for Trafficking in Drugs (heroin).
Melinda Dunlevy – 16155 Main Street, Millfield, Ohio DOB 10-28-66 Warrant for Trafficking in Drugs (heroin).
Shawn Berry – 19 1/2 Palmer Street, Jacksonville, Ohio DOB 02-11-75 Warrant.
John Chesser – Probation Violation – 17050 Murphy Rd., Amesville, Ohio DOB 01-21-76 in possession of heroin.
Mark Barnhart – 7 Main Street, Glouster, Ohio DOB 08-01-62 Probation violation.
Frank Christman – 8531 Bethel Hill Rd., Glouster, Ohio DOB 02-08-52 Trafficking in Drugs (heroin).
