On 11/30/07 A criminal case involving Martin Searles age 44 of 10739 Salem Rd. Athens, Oh. Mr. Searles was found around 1 :30 PM by a neighbor with a gun shot wound to the head. Neighbor advised that she was out side of her home at the time. Found was 45 cal. handgun by Mr Searles. Mr. Searles was DOA when the Sheriff’s Office arrived. Mr. Searles was being investigated by the Athens CO. Sheriff’s Office and Athens Co. Child Services.

Guy Schonborn stated an unknown individual removed a camera from his mother-in-law’s residence on December 9, 2007. ACSO is investigating this incident.

John Wheeler of 35 N Plains Rd reported that the back license plate was stolen from his Nissan truck while it was parked at his residence. Mr. Wheeler said the tags were taken sometime during the night.
