On 04-01-08, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a stolen car from a residence on State Route 691. At this time, the Sheriff’s Office is still investigating this theft and warrants are being issued for two subjects of interest.

On 03-29-08 Deputy Secoy and I went to Nurad Road and checked on a Kimberly Taylor for APD reference to suicide threats. She was not at the residence.

On 03-30-08 Sgt Sedwick and I responded to St Rt 329 and spoke with a Whitney Mayle and she did not want charges but a report on the incident only. Whitney and her brother Brandon Mayle got into a verbal argument and he pushed her.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m., this morning Athens County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the house of Marc Kidby at 8089 Stone Castle Road. Mr. Kidby had contacted a friend somewhat earlier that morning reporting that he had shot himself in a suicide attempt and that he wished to say goodbye. This individual contacted the sheriff’s office for assistance and deputies were dispatched. When deputies arrived they found Mr. Kidby had shot himself a 2nd time. Though unconscious, he was alive. EMS personnel stabilized his condition to the best of their abilities and the patient was life-flighted to Cable-Huntington Hospital’s trauma unit at 8:50 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

On 03-28-08 I observed a Black Mitsubishi with a white male driving it that I had spoke with during another incident and I knew he was Driving Under Suspension. I followed him down St Rt 682 then on too Beech Road. He pulled in to a driveway and I pulled in and asked if he had a licence and he stated no. I then re-confirmed with dispatch and Travis Mash was Driving Under Suspension. I cited him for DUS and released him to his Uncle.

On 03-25-08 Deputy Hallowell, Sgt Cooper and I responded to Pleasenthill Road and spoke to Cadence Eaglemann reference to noises coming from the Apartment upstairs. On arrival the Apartment was unsecured and Deputies cleared the building. Cadence also asked us to check her area as well and nothing located.

On 03-28-08 I responded to Rainbow Lake Road and spoke with a Renee Bircher reference to some vandalism to her mailbox and a political sign she had posted on her property. Renee wanted this incident reported.

On 03-29-08 I responded to Shade Road and spoke with Mark Maridith reference to about 11 cows roaming across his property. Mark did not know who the cows belonged too and he checked with several neighbors about the cows and could not locate an owner. I had dispatch call some other farmers in the area and could not locate an owner. I patrolled the area and could not locate the cows. I did see tracks that where they had been. Mark wanted this incident reported.

On 03-29-08 Special Deputy Norman and I responded to Mush Run and checked a trailer reference to the person being out of town and the Neighbor thought someone broke in to it. All doors appeared to be secured.

On 03-24-08 I spoke with a James Levering reference to him have a Protection Order against his wife a Rita Levering. She came to his house and started a small argument and left. James did not want charges but wanted the incident documented.

On 03-22-08 I responded to Cool Spot reference to Joshua Daily claiming that a Stacey Powell had assaulted him. I then went to Arkley Road and spoke with Stacey Powell and she stated that he was shoving her and she was defending herself. I advised both parties this would be referred to city Prosecutor. I stood bye while Josh gathered some items to stay with friends.

On 03-23-08 Michelle Ash stated that she went to drop off her kids for visitation at the fathers home. Michelle was threatened and then called on the phone and threatened again by her ex-husband’s girlfriend. Michelle just wanted the incident documented.

On 03-18-08 I responded to Happy Valley and spoke with a Jessica Clay in reference to a verbal dispute with her sister a Natasha Everett. Neither party wanted comply with charges and Natasha stated she would leave for the evening. No injuries could be seen. Deputies waited till Natasha left to clear the area.

On 03-17-08 I spoke with a Erica Causey reference to a Chris Davis making threats over the phone that he is going to kill her with a knife. Erica was advised on how to get a protection order and spoke with Cheryll Garvin our domestic violence team. I drove out to St Rt 56 and could not locate Chris.

On 03-15-08 I spoke with a William Star reference to a Tracy Star calling and making threats to burn him in his trailer. William wants a report on this incident. I spoke with Tracy and advised this behavior needs to stop and she needs a court order to retrieve her items.

On 03-11-08 I spoke with Mark Dexter reference to what he thought was a Court Order that he couldn’t be around his kids. The paper in question was his charge of DV and the kid were not listed on the TPO. We also spoke with the Mother a Jesse Dexter and she stated that she wants Mark to have contact with the kids.
