On 04-26-08 I received a request to remove a snake from a person’s shed on Estates Dr. Athens. The snake was located in the property owner’s shed adjacent from their residence. The snake was removed from the shed and released in a more wooded area without harm to it.

On 04-23-08, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office along with the Adult Parole Authority investigated and arrested Donald L. Shafer Jr. DOB 11-17-81 for assault and Sherry L. Triplett DOB 01-06-81 for complicity to assault. This was after a complaint that a man was assaulted in Pine Aire Village and items were taken from him. Through the investigation it was found that Mr. Shafer was on parole and the Adult Parole Authority was asked to assist in the investigation. Both suspects were located at a residence on Thompson Ridge rd. just outside of Athens.

Tory Smith was arrested by the Adult Parole Authority with the assistance of the Athens County Sheriff’s Office. When Mr. Smith was arrested he was found to have a schedule IV narcotic on him and was charged with possession of drugs

On 04-14-08, THe Athens County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Adult Parole Authority at 17 Rallen Drive Apt. B in The Plains, Ohio. Jennifer Mayle was arrested by Authorities for felony possession of drugs. Mrs. Mayle does reside at this address.

On 04-10-08, Ray Blumenauer of 4115 Circle Drive New Marshfield was arrested by the Athens County Sheriff’s Office for Disorderly Conduct by intoxication after a report of arguing was going on in the home. Mr. Blumenauer was found to be intoxciated and had no one to take custody of him.

The Athens County Sheriff’s Office investigated a traffic crash without injury on 04-08-08 on State Route 681. One vehicle was involved and obtained functional damage when the tire blew out.

On 04-01-08, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a stolen car from a residence on State Route 691. At this time, the Sheriff’s Office is still investigating this theft and warrants are being issued for two subjects of interest.
